Local Delivery
This is an archived version, kept so orders that accepted it can always be read against it. The current local delivery policy may differ.
1. Serviceability
Couranr offers local delivery only to addresses that the authoritative delivery system determines are currently serviceable.
Browser location, ZIP estimates, maps, and marketing copy are previews. The validated checkout address and the authoritative route/serviceability decision control.
If Couranr cannot establish serviceability, Couranr does not guess a route.
2. Delivery-price factors
Couranr provides both merchandise and a delivery service. The customer's transportation delivery charge is separate from merchandise.
The delivery service is price-variable. Relevant disclosed factors include authoritative one-way road distance from Couranr's fulfillment location to the validated customer delivery address.
A separate small-order service fee may apply to smaller merchandise baskets. That fee is based on the merchandise shortfall relative to Couranr's current preferred-basket target and is displayed separately.
The exact currently applicable charges are shown before payment.
Internal supplier detours are Couranr's operational responsibility and are not added to the customer transportation charge after acceptance.
3. No hidden mandatory fees
Before payment, Couranr identifies all customer charges that are known and mandatory for the selected transaction, including as applicable merchandise, delivery, small-order service fee, tax, and a voluntary tip if enabled.
Couranr will not describe delivery as "free" in a way that hides another mandatory charge required to obtain that delivery.
4. Standard windows
Current Standard local-delivery windows are:
- 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM
- 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
- 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
All times are Eastern Time. Sunday is closed under the current launch schedule.
These are delivery windows, not exact appointment times.
5. Basket-specific availability
Not every basket is eligible for every window.
Couranr may consider exact merchandise and source availability, source opening hours, source geography, route, remaining time in an already-open window, handling and cold requirements, operator capacity, and economic safety.
Only currently feasible windows are shown.
6. Active window
A customer may sometimes select a delivery window that has already started if the exact order can still be completed safely by that window's end.
Couranr does not assume hidden work occurred before the order was accepted.
7. Internal recovery period
The internal period from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM is not a fifth delivery window.
It is used only for an unusual execution variance affecting an already accepted order that was originally proven to complete by 6:00 PM. It is not customer-facing availability, not reservable, not planned capacity, and not extra time used to accept an otherwise infeasible 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM order.
8. Late-window remedy
If Couranr misses an accepted delivery window for a reason materially within Couranr's control and the order is later delivered in otherwise acceptable condition, Couranr's standard service remedy is a refund of the transportation delivery charge for that order.
This is not a full-order satisfaction guarantee.
If the delay also causes missing, damaged, spoiled, unsafe, or materially nonconforming merchandise, those issues are handled separately.
9. Handoff deliveries
If you choose handoff, the delivery stays attended. Couranr completes a handoff order by handing it to a person at the delivery location — it is not converted to a doorstep drop because a code is unavailable, because you are slow to answer, or because it would be faster for the driver.
For a handoff order:
- Couranr provides a delivery PIN;
- keep the PIN private until the order is physically received;
- the driver completes the delivery with your PIN, or with your signature at the delivery location, and records it through Couranr's system;
- a photo is not handoff proof.
If neither attended proof can be obtained, the order is treated as a failed delivery and handled with support rather than left unattended.
10. Leave-at-door deliveries
If you choose leave at door:
- you authorize Couranr to leave the order at the address and location according to the reasonable instructions you provide;
- the driver takes a photo to document the completed delivery;
- you are responsible for providing a safe, lawful, accessible, reasonably specific drop location.
After a correct evidenced delivery to the authorized location, ordinary theft or weather exposure that occurs solely afterward may be treated as post-delivery risk.
This does not excuse a wrong-address delivery, negligent placement, mishandling, unsafe food handling attributable to Couranr, or another Couranr-caused error.
11. Chilled and frozen orders
Chilled and frozen merchandise is delivered attended only. Leave at door is not available for those orders, and a cold order is not left unattended if the handoff cannot be completed.
12. Customer responsibilities
You must provide an accurate delivery address, unit or building information where applicable, accurate contact information, safe and lawful access, and reasonable delivery instructions.
For handoff orders, be reasonably available during the selected delivery window.
13. Customer-caused failed delivery
Where reasonable and safe, Couranr attempts to contact the customer before concluding that a delivery cannot be completed.
If substantial delivery service was performed but delivery failed because the customer supplied a materially incorrect address, denied reasonable access, was unavailable for a required handoff, or provided unsafe or unlawful delivery instructions, the original transportation charge may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by law.
A requested new attempt may require a new, separately disclosed redelivery charge.
Drivers do not decide refund policy.
14. Driver and customer contact privacy
Couranr minimizes direct phone-number disclosure between customers and delivery operators.
Customers and drivers should use Couranr-provided communication and status channels when available.
15. Safety and access
A driver is not required to enter an unsafe, unlawful, inaccessible, or unreasonably hazardous location.
Couranr may require alternative handoff arrangements, a delay, or another safe resolution when safety conditions prevent normal delivery.
16. Tips
If tipping is enabled, tips are voluntary and separately labeled, 100% of the customer's driver tip belongs to the driver, and the tip does not reduce Couranr-funded compensation otherwise due.
