Food & Cold Handling

1. Current operating model

Couranr may offer food only when the exact product has passed Couranr's current food-compliance, classification, publication, source, handling, and delivery gates.

The existence of food-related software capability does not mean every food product is available for sale.

2. Manufacturer-sealed requirement

Under Couranr's current VDACS exemption certification, qualifying food and beverages are limited to products sealed in packaging by the manufacturer and obtained from an approved, inspected source.

Couranr does not prepare or serve food under this operating model.

3. Activities and categories excluded under the current certified exemption

Couranr's current certified exemption does not permit Couranr to:

• provide beverage service such as a coffee pot or fountain drink machine;
• sell infant formula;
• sell salvaged food;
• sell unwrapped produce;
• sell store-packaged ice;
• offer self-service unwrapped food;
• sell food or beverages wholesale to another business for resale.

If one of these facts changes, Couranr must review the change and make any required VDACS notification before relying on the existing exemption.

4. Additional launch exclusions

The current launch scope also excludes alcohol, prepared or repacked food, break-pack units, and other hazardous or out-of-scope regulated merchandise.

Food multipacks remain manufacturer-sealed sold units. Couranr does not break manufacturer packs under the current model.

5. Chilled and frozen products

When a chilled or frozen product is activated, the current launch safety wall requires:

• manufacturer-sealed qualifying product;
• approved cold kit and cold capability;
• a cold-equipped operator;
• an authorized direct-turn path;
• condition confirmation;
• the same custody through delivery;
• route and promise feasibility.

Couranr does not use a hub-staging fallback for chilled or frozen fulfillment under the current authority.

6. Chilled and frozen delivery is attended

A chilled or frozen order is handed to a person. Leave at door is not offered for cold merchandise, and a cold order is never left unattended because a handoff could not be completed.

If an attended cold handoff fails, the merchandise stays with the assigned cold-equipped operator under the approved cold process while the attempt is resolved. A second attempt happens only when Couranr can still establish the required cold custody, the product's condition, and a delivery time it can actually meet.

7. No invented universal cold-minute guarantee

Couranr does not publish or enforce a universal "45-minute", "60-minute", or other cold-duration threshold unless a safety or compliance authority establishes that threshold.

Available windows account for the current handling process, predicted route conditions, source work, and cold-equipped delivery capacity.

8. Customer handling

Retrieve chilled and frozen merchandise promptly after delivery and follow manufacturer storage and handling instructions.

If you reasonably believe temperature-controlled merchandise arrived materially compromised or unsafe, do not consume it and contact Couranr.

9. Food return and safety claims

Food is generally not preference-returnable after completed delivery.

You may still report a wrong food item, a missing food item, damaged or open manufacturer packaging, a recall, a material temperature or condition concern attributable to Couranr, or another safety or nonconformity issue.

10. Compliance-change wall

Couranr blocks affected food publication and fulfillment if a change in operations, product classification, source, handling, or another qualifying fact may cause the existing food exemption to no longer apply and no safe current authority resolves the issue.

Couranr does not expand food scope merely because the software would technically allow a product record to exist.
